If you are interested in participating please contact the organisationssoon via the details provided. The children’s Open Day is on 20th January and to get involved in the panel, you need to be contact Tom Magill at the PCT by 23rd January. (How to do that is in the Get Involved leaflet)
Should you experience any problems with these attachments and would like hard copy sent please get in touch.
Can I also take this opportunity to remind you of the Wandsworth LINk public meeting taking place on Monday 19th January 2009 @ 6.00pm at the Atheldene Resource Centre, which will welcome the new Executive Committee. A programme and information papers will be made available on the day.
Given the situation of 12 nominations for election to 12 places on the Executive, we sought the advice of our official scrutineers the Electoral Reform Society. They gave the following response:
“In the situation where the number of nominations received is the same as the number of vacancies, and assuming that all candidates who have submitted a nomination are valid in their ability to do so, then all candidates will be declared elected unopposed to their positions.”
Therefore the candidates will be declared elected unopposed at the meeting on January 19th as there will be no need to hold an election.
The work to improve and inform access to the public on Urgent Care in the sector is vital to ensuring that the A&E departments are able to deliver the best service to those in most need. Wandsworth, Sutton& Merton and Lambeth PCT’s and St George’s are working together on this programme.
Earlier this year, on May 28th 2008, some of you kindly attended and contributed to a Patient and Public Involvement workshop at St George’s Hospital to discuss aspects of the Urgent Care system such as:
We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to feedback our progress to you at a workshop at St George’s Hospital on Wednesday 21st January, from 10.00am – 12:40 pm
Dr Sian Job, a GP from Wandsworth will lead this workshop.
Using your comments, we have produced an Improvement Plan on how to improve the patient pathway and general experience of Urgent Care, from improving access within General Practice to developing publicity material informing everyone of Urgent Care services, through to enhancing the patient’s experience of A&E and the Walk-in-Centre.
We have also developed a range of publicity material designed to educate and inform the public on Urgent Care services that we would appreciate your comments on to make sure it will meet the needs of the diverse target groups
If you would like to attend please could you let us know by sending a confirmation email to: Wilfred.carneiro@stgeorges.nhs.uk
